As Illinois advocate for clean water and healthy rivers, Prairie Rivers Network works to protect our rivers and streams through the following means:
- Protect clean water by makeing sure the Clean Water Act is fully enforced;
- Reduce water pollution by limiting the amount of pollution from urban and agriculture that enters are streams;
- Ensure there is enough water flowing through our streams to meet the needs of people, wildlife, and industry; and
- Protect nature by preserving flowing streams and riverside habitat.
