[Riverweb] Clean Water Act Event

Prairie Rivers Network members and other interested citizens are invited to
attend the following speaking event, featuring 4 speakers who will address
the importance of clean water, wastewater effluent violations, and the new
Clean Water Restoration Act bill.  Prairie Rivers staff member Stacy James
will be among the speakers.





Please join us in protecting our clean water!



Event:             Environment Illinois will release a report to the media
finding that major facilities are exceeding their discharge permits under
the Clean Water Act.  This is in conjunction with the 35th anniversary of
the Clean Water Act.  With rollbacks currently in place threatening our
waters- water experts, local farmers, students, and community members will
join Environment Illinois in building support for clean water protections.

Where:            Crystal Lake Lakehouse, southside of Crystal Lake Park; at
Park Street and Race Street



Directions:      from University or downtown, take University Avenue to Race
street, turn left on Race; parking lot will be closed; street parking
available on Central Street and Lake Street, which run north/south on the
west side of Race street between University Ave and the park
