[Riverweb] Request for Photos

Hello,

Thank you for your assistance in advance. I am the librarian for the
US Army Corps of Engineers - Rock Island District. A patron remembers
seeing, in the 1970s, the Illinois River, in a severely polluted  
state, with large amounts of phosphate suds or foam.

It would be ideal if we could obtain photographs of this situation,
if not on the Illinois River, but any previously troubled water source as
described, such as the Des Plaines River.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or
suggestions and please do not hesitate to call upon us for any of your
informational needs.
