Dear River Conservation Colleague, Since 1997, American Rivers has
collaborated with hundreds of local, regional and national conservation
groups to produce the annual River Budget: National Priorities for Local
River Conservation. This report identifies key federal funding priorities
for river conservation and restoration in the coming fiscal year, and is
provided to key decisionmakers during the federal appropriations process.
Federal agencies are already creating their request to Congress for the 2009
fiscal year (FY '09). Please tell us which federal programs you want
included in the FY '09 River Budget and if any changes should be made to
funding levels for programs listed in the FY '08 report

*	The program name 
*	The department and agency responsible for administering the program 
*	A short (3-5 sentences) write-up of why the program is beneficial
for rivers 
*	Funding level you think the program needs to succeed 
*	Funding amount that the program received in FY '08 and FY '07
