Introductory Workshop for Using Field Guide to Freshwater Mussels in  
Chicago Wilderness

When: Saturday May 3 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Where: St. Charles Park District?s Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North
Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois and Kane County Forest Preserve District?s LeRoy
Oakes Preserve.

What: A workshop to train participants to use a new user-friendly  
Field Guide to the Freshwater Mussels of Chicago Wilderness. Begin to  
learn how to identify the different freshwater mussel species in the  
Chicago Wilderness area using this new field guide, which features  
multiple photos of each species emphasizing important traits for  
identification.
