Planet Earth is in a state of crisis in its ability to sustain human flourishing and the full diversity of life. Over the past several years, there has been an unprecedented war on environmental protection at the federal level. Meanwhile, Illinois agencies charged with protecting land, waters, and wildlife have suffered major declines in budget, staff, and effectiveness. PRN’s mission and programs confront many of the root causes of environmental degradation in our state while addressing the sources and impacts of climate change.
