A Joint Effort
After the settlement between Dynegy Power (previously Illinois Power) and the Illinois Attorney General’s office, a plan needed to be made for the stretch of land given to the state.
Now, the Vermilion County Conservation District and Kickapoo State Park are working together to return this land back to its natural state.
As part of this effort, Kickapoo State Park is linking into a bike path across the county. The Vermilion County Conservation District has bigger plans in mind for its share of the land.
