Today we won a battle in the ongoing fight against the Asian carp invasion.
The federal transportation bill, passed today, contains a provision requiring an expedited plan to block Asian carp—as well as dozens of other destructive invaders—from moving between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River. There are billions of dollars and invaluable natural resources at stake across dozens of states.
We’ve worked hard to get this passed, but it’s still a first step. Please sign our petition and show your support for a permanent solution that will not only stop the carp, but also clean up our water, prevent flooding, and improve recreational opportunities for millions.
Can be done. Should be done.
