Join us on Monday, July 29th for our first Community Conversations on Climate event! We will be meeting at Cafe and Co. from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm to discuss the Clean and Reliable Grid Act and what exactly it means for Champaign County and beyond.
Our state’s energy sector has been transforming over the years, but our power grid needs to catch up. The 2021 Climate & Equitable Jobs Act helped pave the way for Illinois to transition to clean energy, stop pollution, and lessen the impacts of climate change, but there is more that we need to do. The Clean and Reliable Grid Act proposes essential solutions to ensure that our grid is clean, reliable, and affordable.
This event is not just about learning; it’s about sharing. We want your feedback and thoughts on the Clean and Reliable Grid Act. Together, we can shape a sustainable future for Illinois!
Join Prairie Rivers Network, Faith in Place, Sierra Club, and the Citizen Utility Board, to learn more about the challenges to decarbonizing our energy and policy solutions.
During this event, you will:
- Learn about the impact of the Clean and Reliable Grid Act on your community
- Share your opinions and ideas
- Connect with like minded community members and experts
