This event is the last of a three-part series that explores the climate policies supported by the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition; initiatives aimed at creating a resilient energy grid, fostering healthy buildings, and ensuring equitable transportation across Illinois.
Description of Event:
To meet our state’s climate goals, we must transform our transportation system, which is responsible for a significant portion of Illinois’ greenhouse gas emissions.
The Clean and Equitable Transportation Act provides a comprehensive and achievable path to reduce emissions by 80% and achieve net-zero transportation emissions by 2050. This act focuses on expanding affordable, clean transportation options, modernizing public transit, and transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. These changes aim to improve public health, reduce cost for Illinoisians, and create good-paying jobs
Be part of the change. Help us create a healthier and more sustainable transportation system for all of Illinois. This event is not just about learning; it’s about sharing. We want your feedback and thoughts on the Clean and Equitable Transportation Act. Together, we can build a cleaner, safer, and more connected future for all of us!
